Flexible (unbalanced) Patch panel 

OK I will start the projects with a simple but very useful device.

While this is a relatively easy project it did take some figuring out to get this patch system as flexible as possible while still being easy to use

I know there are many Patch panels on the market but when I wanted an easy and flexible Patching system for my effects and EQ rack I found that there was not really anything that did everything I wanted.

What I was after were 4 different configurations:

1) Simple through connection - Input to input and output to output

2) 'Y splitter' for insert/break connections

3) Cascadable inserts allowing to processors to be inserted on one channel

4) Line splitter to split a line two ways

Fortunately these 4 functions were not completely incompatible and it was possible to make a patch system that could do all these things without switches or links, but rather would provide different options depending entirely on how you plugged it in.
